Re-wilding the Jurassic

Trends have a strange way of percolating mainstream fashion. Store windows of certain luxury houses have been gleaming with gilded dinosaurs since a few years.

De-extinction or re-wilding is a movement in science that envisions extinct species being brought back to life. Marguerite Humeau in 2012 mimicked vocal tracts of extinct animals in collaboration with experts in their respective fields. Jeff Clunes has been developing robots mimicking evolution; all of this is reality now. Scientists are working on it and the movement has captured our imagination too.

It is only natural that we take inspiration from our past eras. Dinosaurs appeal to all ages, more so with kids. Remember all those dinosaur movies!

Miinaniino brings you arrange of hand embellished tyrannosaurs, spinosaures, triceratops and diplodocus crafted to perfection. A sense of soft pop art; a bit of nostalgia; it has the appeal of the hand drawn, truncated vintage; a nostalgic vision of future captured now, primitive and futuristic at the same time.

Help your tiny tots make up their own re-wilding stories about them. Will they be living with you? What would you feed them? What about a house for them? OH no! They are enormous!
